The folks responsible for the defunct Might magazine have a new baby: Timothy McSweeney's Quarterly Concern, a magazine that promises to publish a range of stories for which authors have received kill fees from other publications.

The first issue includes "Four Short Interviews," conducted by Jill Stoddard "in Cambridge, Mass., between April 1997 and July 1998." Here's a brief sampling:Stoddard begins Interview One, with Al Gore: "You have to pay for that over where it says `cash register.' "
