SANDY — Police have identified the Draper man killed in a head-on collision in Sandy on Wednesday.
Lincoln Wilks, 18, died after his car drifted over the median on State Street into oncoming traffic, Sandy Police Lt. Dean Carriger said.
The crash happened just before 9:30 a.m. near 8830 South.
Wilks’ car hit another car head-on. The driver of that car, a 72-year-old man from Sandy, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. As of Wednesday, the man was being treated for multiple broken bones but was stable, police said.
