WEST JORDAN — Police report that one woman died in an automobile-pedestrian accident Saturday morning.

A call came in around 8:45 a.m. Saturday morning reporting an accident near 7000 South and Redwood Road. Officers arrived to find a victim in the road, a woman who has not yet been identified, said West Jordan Police Sgt. Doug Saunders.

The woman was transported to Intermountain Medical Center but succumbed to her injuries.

The driver in the incident stayed on scene and is cooperating with investigators, Saunders said.
